Dec. 1-31 1184 or 1185. [196] Raymond III, Dei gratia Tripolis comes et regni procurator Jerosolimitani, who has become a confrater of the leprosary of St Lazarus in Jerusalem and wishes to share in the house’s prayers and benefits, makes a sealed eleemosynary grant to St Lazarus, represented by its magister Bernardus. He gives an annual rent of 20 besants, to be drawn each Candlemas from the funda of Tripoli. Witnesses: Hugo dominus Biblii; Raimondus de Biblio; [Raimundus] de Nephins; Astafortis; Arbertus Saraman; Plebanus; Eradus; W. Porceletus; Raimundus de Montolivo; Girardus vicecomes; Saisus; Raimundus Constantini; Iohannes de Moneta; magister Arnaudus; Mathaeus cancellarius, who drew up this charter.
