(†) [229] Mid Sept. [Dec. 25 1189/Jan 1 1190 - Oct. 20 1190]. In the siege camp before Acre. Guy, per dei gratiam in sancta civitate Ierusalem Latinorum rex VIIIus, his wife the Lady Queen Sibylla make a sealed eleemosynary grant to the Hospital of St Mary of the Germans, represented by magister Sibrandus, who founded this hospital during the siege of Acre. They give a house in Acre which had been a hospice for Armenians and patrones, [230] out of which can be established a hospital. If the gift of the house proves to be impossible, Guy and Sibylla will give the platea next door, where a hospital can be built. They also give 4 carrucate terre in the territory of Acre. Witnesses: Comes Ioscelinus regis senescalcus; Anzellinus regis constabularius; Henfridus Montis Regalis; Hugo Tyberiadis; Rainaldus Sydonis; Gaufridus Tortus. The charter was drawn up by Petrus regius cancellarius et Tripolitane ecclesie archidiaconus.
