May 7. Acre. Patriarch Soffred of Jerusalem issues a sealed arbitration in a dispute over tithes between T. Nimociensis episcopus, acting in the name of his church, and the magister and brothers of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem. The bishop renounces his claims for damages, while the Hospitallers will pay the bishop at Nicosia each Michaelmas 120 Saracen besants in place of tithes as long as they possess the lands in question.
