Mar. 4. Lateran. Hearing that with the agreement of the count of Tripoli and some of the citizens of Antioch, Greek clergy have installed a Greek patriarch in the province of Antioch and have withdrawn their obedience to the Latin patriarch, Pope Innocent III orders the patriarch of Jerusalem as papal legate to threaten the count and the mayor and consuls [of the commune] of Antioch with excommunication unless they desist.
