Jun. 17. Acre. John, per dei gratiam Latinorum Ierusalem rex decimus et comes Brene, and the Lady Queen Maria his wife confirm under seal for Santius Dominici Sepulcri prior and the chapter of the Holy Sepulchre the canons’ purchase of a garden near Acre, together with houses and land around the garden, from Willelmus Pomaranus. In an eleemosynary grant, John and Maria renounce any rights they have had over the garden and allow the canons to import the produce [fructus et herbae] on their horses into Acre and to sell it without the payment of dues [exactio].
