Sept. 24. Anagni. At the request of the abbas de Iubino in Montana Nigra, Pope Innocent takes the abbey under papal protection, confirming the monks’ Cistercian way of life and its present and future possessions. The pope specifies the place where the abbey is situated; the chapel of St Thomas of Antioch with its cellarium and other dependencies; rents of 200 besants drawn from the funda of Nicosia and of 25 besants from the casale of Sonia; and a garden in Latakia.
