Jan. 17 and 18. Lateran. Replying to a request from the bishops of Famagusta and Paphos, Pope Honorius III assures them that he forbids the metropolitan to provide benefices and prebends in a bishop’s church, unless such a right has devolved on the archbishop in accordance with conciliar statutes or in another way.
