Nov. 7. Lateran. Pope Honorius III confirms for the abbas and convent of Episcopia the eleemosynary grant made by the late King Hugh of Cyprus to the late I prior ecclesie Sancte Marie Montis Cyrinarum, Ordinis Sancti Augustini, and his successors of the place [locus] Taylus, in which the abbey is situated, and the place called Episcopia. The pope also confirms the abbey’s freedom and immunity from tithes, granted by the late Alanus Nicosiensis archiepiscopus with the agreement of his chapter, saving the obedience that Cistercians customarily accord to their bishops.
