Sept. 25. Rieti. Informed that Patriarch Rainier of Antioch had died on 16 Sept. (1225[335]), Pope Honorius III orders the cantor Antiochenus, archidiaconus Antiochenus and magister Petrus canonicus Antiochenus, together with the chapter, to elect a successor. In the meantime they are to administer the temporal possessions of the patriarchate, having especial regard for the custody of the castle of Cursarium.
