Mar. 1-31. Tripoli. Richerius episcopus Melfiensis, imperialis aule familiaris et nuntius, records under seal that, being present in Tripoli in the kingdom of Jerusalem in order to represent Frederick, gloriosus Romanorum imperator semper augustus, Jerosolime et Sicilie rex, the noble woman Maria, the widow of Girardus de Hanis and the mother of the noble Thomas comestabulus Tripolitanus, came into his presence and surrendered to Thomas whatever she had in dotal property in France as part of the land and fief of Girardus, held of the king of France. Signatories: Richerius Dei gratia humilis episcopus Melfiensis; Rogerius Melfiensis canonicus, who drew up the charter at the request of Maria; presbiter Nicolaus capellanus Melfiensis episcopi; Eustasius miles de Sydone; Albericus miles de Rancolariis; Ugo miles de Glappires; Galterius miles de Guardia.
