Sept. 13. Anagni. Pope Gregory IX orders the magister and brothers of the Knights Templar to desist from questioning the judgement of the patriarch of Jerusalem, as papal legate, in favour of the right of the brothers of the Hospital of St Mary of the Germans to wear white mantles, following privileges granted by Pope Honorius III and Gregory himself, and finance supplied by the emperor Frederick. He has ordered the patriarch of Jerusalem and the bishop of Acre, to whom he also writes, to ensure that the Knights Templar conform.
