Jan. 28. Anagni. Pope Gregory IX recalls the efforts made over 10 years by the abbas et conventus monasterii Bellimontis, of the Cistercian Order, to recover the casale of Peregus, occupied by W. miles de Riveto. In spite of the interventions of the late Cardinal Pelagius of Albano, the papal legate, and the papacy, the case has not been resolved due to the difficulty of finding judge delegates. The abbey now has possession of the casale, but, although W. de Riveto and nearly all his family are dead, the case is not resolved. The pope orders the bishop of Tripoli, the bishop of Tortosa [Antaradensis episcopus] and the cantor Antaradensis to re-examine it.
