May 1-31. Alatinus soldanus Iconii writes to Pope Gregory IX. Three years before he had sent on 6 monks, who wanted to pilgrimage to Rome and Compostela, with letters for the pope. 2 had returned, but he was not certain that his message had been received. He was now sending a Christian subject called Iohannes de Gabra to speak to both the pope and the emperor Frederick. [350]
