Feb. 19. Viterbo. Pope Gregory IX informs the preceptor and brothers of the Hospital of St Mary of the Germans in Acre that according to the terms of the agreement reached between the emperor Frederick and the subjects of the kingdom of Jerusalem, the prince of Antioch is to become bajulus and hold all the land, including the city of Tyre. But the citadel of Tyre is to be held by the Hospital of St Mary of the Germans on behalf of the emperor and his son Conrad.
