Rainaldus Beltramus publicus sacri imperii notarius states that at the request of frater B. magister sancte domus Hospitalis Jerusalem he has transcribed the record [of the arbitration over Maraclea of Bartholomeus Valloniensis ecclesie minister humilis] written by Petrus notarius [22 Nov. 1234] for transmission to the Roman curia, [ensuring that there is a second copy] with regard to the perils of the sea voyage.
