Hearing that some brothers of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem have been assisting the Nicaean emperor John Vatatzes against the Latins and are even accused of heresy, Pope Gregory IX rebukes the magister and brothers and demands that they reform themselves. The archbishop of Tyre, to whom he also writes, will investigate them.
