Pope Gregory IX expresses sympathy to Queen Rusudan and her son King David, the rulers of Georgia, about the Mongol incursions, excuses the Latin Church from lending assistance and encourages them to subject themselves to Rome. He commends the Dominicans Huguicio, Jacobus, Benevenutus, Rubinus, Petrus, Bernardus, Lambertus and Guizardus, who will preach true doctrine.
