Aug. 4. Anagni. The archbishop of Nicosia has reported that he and his suffragans have excommunicated the milites and homines of the kingdom of Cyprus, who are still not abiding by the agreement mediated by the late Cardinal Pelagius of Albano and are refusing to pay the tithes they owe. Pope Innocent IV asks the king of Cyprus to compel his subjects to observe the excommunication and pay the tithes or face the confiscation of their fiefs.
