May 6. Lyons. Pope Innocent IV writes to the patriarch of Antioch [Alberto Roberti], assigning him the task of telling [Emperor Frederick II of Hohenstaufen] that the pope will have him absolved of excommunication as soon as he makes satisfaction for his manifest offenses and provides a sufficient guarantee for the doubtful ones.
