February 23. Lyons. Pope Innocent IV writes to Archbishop [Eustorge de Montaigut] of Nicosia, on whose behalf it was explained to the pope that the pope had assigned three prebends in the Nicosia Church, although the archbishop has no other prebendal churches in which he is able to provide for worthy clerics beside the Nicosia Church itself, in which there are only ten prebends. The pope grants that the archbishop cannot be compelled to the provision or reception of anyone by a papal letter not making full mention of the collation of the three prebends and of the number of ten prebends.
