July 6. Lyons. Pope Innocent IV writes to King [Henry I] of Cyprus, complimenting him on his involvement with the conservation of the Kingdom of Jerusalem and urging him to continue his efforts in order to be commended by God and men. If there should be a peace between the Church and its current adversaries, who are also the king’s enemies, the pope will include the monarch and his people in that peace.
