March 21, Ind. VI. Acre. In the church of St Peter of the Pisans. Benencasa, quondam Leonardi Cascinensis filius, etc. declares by orders of Guido de Sancto Cassiano quondam Galli, consul comunis Pisanorum Accon et totius Syrie, to have seen and transcribed the privilege of Frederick II (21-31 April 1229: RRH 1006 and RRR 2117) in the presence of Gerardus Marandellus, Benencasa dictus Grassus quondam Riccii, Pipinus Conetti, the notary Ugolinus quondam Bandini and other witnesses. He also describes Frederick’s golden bull: one side the image of a city surrounded by the letters + ROMA CAPUT MUNDI REGIS ORBI FRENA ROTUNDI and on the other an enthroned emperor with a cross in his right hand and an orb in his left; to the left is the legend SANCTUS REX IERUSALEM and to the right SICILIE, surrounded by the inscription + FRIDERICUS DEI GRATIA ROMANORUM IMPERATOR ET SEMPER AUGUSTUS.
