March 26. Lyons. Pope Innocent IV writes to John Sarrazin, papal subdeacon and chaplain, dean of Wells, living in England, relating that Diodato dei Prefetti, nephew of bishop-elect of Bethlehem [Gottifredo dei Prefetti], explained to him that when the pope once ordered the addressee to provide Diodato with a benefice in the Kingdom of England worth thirty silver marks, the addressee neglected to do so, so the pope now orders the addressee to provide one worth that many marks or more, up to fifty.
