April 24. Ind. VI. Acre. In the church of St Peter of the Pisans. Benencasa, quondam Leonardi Cascinensis filius, imperial judge and notary declares by order of Guido de Sancto Cassiano quondam Galli, consul comunis Pisanorum Accon et totius Syrie, to have seen and transcribed the privilege of Raymond III of Tripoli (9 August 1179: RRH 585 and RRR 1039) in the presence of Vinceguerra Anselmetti, Ildebrandus de Gombo, Oddo Soavisi, the notary Ugolinus quondam Bandini and other witnesses. He describes the lead seal which on one side shows a city surrounded by the legend: + ET HEC SUA CIVITAS TRIPOLIS + and on the other an armed man on a horse holding a lance surrounded by the legend: + RAIMUNDUS COMES TRIPOLITANUS.
