text:
May 25. Lyons. Pope Innocent IV writes to the consuls and community of the Genoese living in the Kingdom of Jerusalem, relating that, since he has heard that some in their parts, religious and other, seditiously work to put the Kingdom of Jerusalem into the hands of former emperor F[rederick II] and his son C[onrad IV], enemies of the Church, he therefore urges the addressees to remain constant in their devotion to the Roman Church and to prevent any regime change in the kingdom. Otherwise those who are privileged in those parts can rightly fear that they will be deprived of their apostolic privileges, liberties and immunities forever.
