May. Eljigidei (Erchalchai) representative (noyan) of the Mongol khan (Güyüg Khan) writes (in Persian) to Louis IX. After a fulsome (and Christian) opening, he states that he wants Louis to be victorious, that he wants Christians to be liberated and churches rebuilt, and that there shall be equality between all Christians as in his own realm.
