June 22. Lyons. Pope Innocent IV announces the legation of the [cardinal-]bishop of Tusculum (Frascati) (Eudes de Châteauroux) to King [Henry I] of Cyprus. The pope orders the addressees to receive cheerfully, treat honourably and obey humbly the legate, observing the statutes he enacts for the state and the benefit of the Holy Land and the salvation of souls. Otherwise the pope will enforce the legate’s sentences against rebels.
