July 8. Lyons. Innocent IV writes to the patriarch of Jerusalem and papal legate (Robert de Nantes) and the bishop of Lydda, relating that, inclined by the prayers of Master Filippo of Tripoli, canon of Tyre, he orders the addressees to recall to its previous state anything they find to have been rashly attempted to his prejudice after he set off for the Apostolic See. If they cannot both [carry this out, then one of them can].
