July 21. Lyons. Pope Innocent IV writes to the [cardinal-]bishop of Tusculum (Frascati) and papal legate (Eudes de Châteauroux), granting him the power to confer any vacant prebends, posts (personatus), ranks (dignitates) and other benefices, with or without cure of souls, in Outremer, unless they are owed to others de iure, and of having these persons received as canons and brothers, and of compelling those who contradict with ecclesiastical censure, without appeal.
