c. 1248. Stephanus de Salerno makes an eleemosynary grant to the church of lepers in Jerusalem of an annual rent of 10 solidi barbarorum a year in mass. Pot de morelum de cher, to be paid in 2 equal instalments on the Feast of St Andrew and in the month of May. The gift is in recognition of the reception of his son Austorgius into the Leprosary. Witnesses: Durandus Barrel; Durandus Babilion; of the Brothers of St Lazarus, frater Ansellus; frater Hugo; and others; of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, frater Aimoinus de Rupe Forti.
