Henry, king of Cyprus (Dei gratia rex Cypri), records, under his seal and also that of Cardinal Eudes of Tusculum, the papal legate, his confirmation of a sale made by his relation John of Ibelin (Iohannes de Ibellino) comes Jospensis et dominus Ramatensis, with the agreement of his wife domina Maria, to Eustorge de Montaigut (Eustorgius) archbishop of Nicosia and his church for 12,000 Saracen besants of an assured income of 1,000 Saracen besants a year, payable in quarterly instalments of 250 Saracen besants of Acre weight (ad pondus Anconensis). The income will be provided by rents drawn thus: 400 Saracen besants will be drawn from the casale called l’Episcopia on the diocese of Limassol and 300 each from the casalia of Vassa in the diocese of Paphos and Presterona in the diocese of Nicosia. Rents can also be drawn from property pertaining to these casalia. Witnesses: Of the milites et homines ligii Iohannis, Philippus de Novaria; Paulus de Neapoli; Raimundus d’Aguilier. The charter is sealed by the king of Cyprus and the papal legate.
