April 20. Corbeil. Phelippes, chaplain of Alfonz, count of Toulouse and Poitiers and maquis of Provence (comte de Tholose et de Poitiers et marquis de Provence), acknowledges the reception on 21 February of a letter from Alfonz, enclosed with letters from the king, in which Alfonz described his experiences on Cyprus and his delayed arrival at Damietta. Phelippes informs Alfonz of the reception in France of the news of the capture of Damietta, of the condition of the possessions of Alfonz and of events in France and elsewhere in western Europe.
