September 27. Lyons. Pope Innocent IV writes to the prior and brothers of the Order of Blessed Mary of Mount Carmel, responding to their entreaties by granting that when there is a general interdict on the land they may celebrate the divine offices in their churches with closed doors, without ringing the bells, in a low voice, excluding excommunicates and those under interdict, as long as they themselves have not caused the interdict.
