*n.d. (1250). Le grant roy de Tartarins (king of the Mongols, in fact Oghul Qaimish, the widow of the Khan Güyüg) writes to Louis IX to say that Prester John (Prestre Jehan) and all who had opposed him had been killed and if he wants peace he must submit to tribute; otherwise he will come and destroy him.
