Pope Innocent IV writes to the archbishop of Nicosia (Ugo da Fagiano), relating that the dean and chapter of the Nicosia Church informed him that the incomes of the church have increased while the value of their prebends has been decreased greatly. Since according to the tradition of the Nicosia Church the archbishop administers these prebends, the dean and chapter asked the pope to order the restoration and return of the prebends to their original state. Thus the pope orders the archbishop, if it is so, having investigated their value, to restore and return the prebends to how they were according to the original state of the church, in line with which they were established.
