King Baldwin II gives the ecclesia sancti Samuelis [of Montjoie] and the the Premonstratensians serving there the mountain on which the church is situated, together with the use of the brothers’ own weights and measures at the gates, funda and cathena [of every town] throughout the kingdom, so that the monks can buy and sell and enter and leave the kingdom with the goods they need freed from any exaction.
