December 12. Lateran. Pope Alexander IV writes to Patriarch Jacobus [Pantaléon] of Jerusalem, papal legate, responding to his requests by granting that he cannot be summoned to trial outside the Kingdom of Jerusalem by papal or legatine letters without special papal mandate making full and express mention of this indulgence. Valid for three years after his arrival in those parts.
