February 22. Lateran. Pope Alexander IV writes to Patriarch [Jacques Pantaléon] of Jerusalem, papal legate, and the chapter of the church of Jerusalem, responding to their requests by granting that they cannot be forced to receive or provide anyone with an office, prebend, or other benefice belonging to their collation or presentation via a papal or legatine letter not making full and express mention of this indulgence.
