Jun. 6. Tripoli. In the church of St Mary. In the presence of Cardinal Guido of Florence, the papal legate, and Balduinus archiepiscopus Cesaree, Maurinus becomes a confrater of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, represented by Raimundus magister. He intends to enter the Hospital before death. Meanwhile, he gives himself body and soul to the Hospital, together with all his property when he dies. If he marries and has heirs, they will inherit only his wife’s property. He also leaves 100 besants each to a nephew and niece in the West, the children of his sister Guillelma, which will be delivered to them by the Hospital. Should they die their shares will go the Hospital. Guido of Florence confirms the deed.
