Mar 25. Genoa. Pope Alexander III thanks Archbishop Syrus of Genoa and the Genoese church for its support in the East with respect to the schism in the Church of Rome and gives them the privilege of holding a perpetual legation [with respect to the Genoese churches] in the East, on condition that he visits the Holy See every eight years.
