Apr. 24. Jerusalem. Amalric, per gratiam dei in sancta civitate Ierusalem rex quintus, makes a sealed eleemosynary grant to benefit, among others, the soul of his brother King Baldwin III. He gives the leprosary of St Lazarus, the cloister of which is close to the city of Jerusalem, 1 slave out of his share when he gains 10 or more on every military campaign or raid [expeditio sive equitatus] in which he is present or in which his banner [vexillum] is displayed in his absence, provided the slave is not a miles.
