Aug. 5 - Dec. 24? Jerusalem. At the request of Petrus prior, Patriarch Amalric of Jerusalem confirms under seal for him and the canons of the Holy Sepulchre their possession of the church of St Nicholas, built outside the northern walls of the town of Jaffa, in the field of St Nicholas above the sea. The church, under the title of the Passion and Resurrection, was given to the canons by King Amalric. The patriarch confirms its parochial rights of baptism, the churching of women, the absolution of the sick and burial, together with the right to retain the tithes of all its lands and vineyards. Witnesses: Radulfus Bethleemita episcopus; Rainerius Liddensis episcopus; Rainerius Sebastensis episcopus; Radulfus prior Sebasten[sis]; Haimericus Montis Oliveti prior; Radulfus archidiaconus; Amalricus cancellarius; magister Eraclius; Hugo de Jherusalem; Robertus de Pinchinec; Gaufridus Turonensis.
