Pope Alexander III confirms for Petrus abbas of St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat and his successors the privilege of wearing in his abbey the mitre, ring, gloves and sandals [of an archbishop] at Christmas, Easter and all the Feasts of the Blessed Virgin Mary, and also the mitre and ring on other solemnities [greater feasts] in other churches and in general processions.
