King Baldwin IV confirms the gift made to comes Roderico/Rodriguès of the religio Montis Gaudii or Cisterciensis [Avia in 1 ms] by Raynaud cy-devant prince d’Antioche et seigneur de Montreal et d’Ebron, with the agreement of his wife Estiennete, his [step]children Hunfroy/Honfroi and Isabelle, Guillaume comte d’Ascalon et de Joppé and his wife the comtesse Isabelle [Sibylla], of a great stretch of land with the casalia in it, on condition that if the Order ceases to engage in warfare against the Sarrasins the properties will be returned to their original owners. The king will have the right to part of all booty gained from the infidels, on the same terms as those that apply to the Hospitallers. The charter was drawn up by Lambertus.
