After Sept. 1225-1228. [342] Abbot Gervase of Prémontré writes to the emperor Frederick II, addressing him by his titles, including that of king of Jerusalem. He congratulates the emperor on taking the cross. He asks, through his representative Magister Aegidius Capellanus Imperii, for Frederick’s assistance in the recovery of the abbeys of Sanctus Samuel and Sanctus Abacuc.
