[38] In what must be a response to a request from the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, Pope Calixtus II commends the alms-collectors sent by Raimundus Jerosolimitani Xenodochii prepositus to the faithful in Europe. He praises the care rendered by the Hospital to pilgrims and poor.
