†Apr. 13. Nablus. In aula regia. Fulk, dei gratia tercius Ierusalem rex, and his wife Melisende make a sealed eleemosynary grant to the commune of Marseille. They give the commune the privilege of having a rua and a church in Acre and Jerusalem and in every city in the kingdom which they helped take. They give a fief-rent of 400 Saracen besants, to be paid quarterly from the funda of Jaffa. This deed is made on Mt Sion in the presence of Arnaldus prior Montis Syon. Witnesses: Vlricus visecomes; Bernardus Uaccarius; Roardus; Erossus; Sad[o manescalcus; Nichi]borus avunculus regine; Guillelmus de Bures; Gervasus Burgundio. The charter was drawn up by Franco cancellarius.
