Nov. 18. With the consent of his chapter [capitulum Sancti Georgii] and at the request of Patriarch Arnulf of Jerusalem and King Baldwin I, Rogerius Ramatensis episcopus had given St Mary of the Valley of Jehoshaphat a deserted casale called Cephrie. The abbey’s possession of the casale had been challenged by the heirs of Radulfus de Septem Molis, but they have been persuaded to concede the casale to the abbey in the presence of Patriarch William of Jerusalem. Their names are: Gofridus filius Radulfi, Hugo his brother, Mazelina their sister with her husband Arnulfus de Aria, and their mother Agnes. Witnesses: Willelmus patriarcha; Robertus archidiaconus; Balduinus cancellarius; Amelius; Balduinus canonicus Sancti Georgii; of the laymen, Wulferius; Milo camerarius; Rogerius Carnotensis; Ernaldus pincerna; Stephanus dispensator; Petrus Lemovicensis. Rogerius episcopus, with the consent of his chapter and barones, confirms the agreement, which is sealed with the patriarchal seal, but retains half the tithes and his jurisdiction over the chaplain [in the casale].
