Nov. 18. Kerak [apud Cracum]. Galterius de Berito Montisregalis dominus, with the agreement of his brother Guido and his daughter Beatrix, makes a sealed eleemosinary grant, to benefit particularly the soul of his wife Helena. In the presence and with the consent of King Amalric, he gives the brothers of the leprosary of St Lazarus of Jerusalem an annual rent of 40 besants to to be drawn from the fief rent [assisia] at the cathena of Acre that King Amalric gave him in exchange for Beirut. Witnesses: Guerricus, Petracensis ecclesie Latinorum primus archiepiscopus; Seherinus de Mamedone; Seherinus de Waise; Siguinus; Girardus de Beteras; Guarinus de Hobelet; Girardus de Spineto; Inguanius, Petrus de Hasard; Osmundus de Belnaco; magister Martinus; magister Raimundus; Herricus de Leodio; Herricus filius ejus. The charter was drawn up by Laurentius domioni Galterii capellanus.
