Aug. 29. [159] Bohemond III, Dei gratia princeps Antiochenus and son of Prince Raymond, confirms under seal the possession in feodum by his homo ligius Gauterius/Gunterius de Lattor, of an annual rent of 2000 besants, drawn from the cloth market [platea telarum] called Sochelbes at Gabulum, on the same terms as his father Robertus de Surdis Vallibus and grandfather Gauterius, the father of Robertus, had held it. Bohemond retains for himself the novenarius of the besants. If the revenues of the platea are not sufficient in any year, the deficit will be made up from other rents in Gabulum. Witnesses: Dominus Rainaudus de Margat; Guiscardus de Insula; Oliverius camerarius; Willelmus de Monci; Bartholomeus filius comitis; Willelmus de Cava; Richerius de Erminato; Rogerius de Surdis Vallibus; Hugo de Logis; Petrus de Hasart; Rogerius Corbellus; Gervasius de Quercu. The charter was drawn up by Johannes cancellarius.
